What will your main duties be?
The housekeeping department plays a key role in the guest experience, making sure the hotel's rooms and facilities meet the property's standards of cleanliness, presentation and quality. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Organising, coordinating and supervising the daily work of the housekeeping team, including room attendants, cleaning staff and supervisors.
- Planning and assigning daily tasks, allocating rooms and public areas according to occupancy and the hotel's needs.
- Supervising the cleanliness, order, maintenance and presentation of rooms, public areas and other facilities.
- Carrying out regular inspections to ensure compliance with the property's quality, hygiene and safety standards.
- Managing and controlling inventories of cleaning products, amenities, bedding, linen and other department supplies.
- Coordinating with the front office and maintenance departments to manage check-ins and check-outs, cleaning priorities and any incidents.
- Organising staff shifts, schedules, days off and holidays, making the most of available resources.
- Training, motivating and supervising the team, promoting a positive and efficient working environment.
- Handling incidents related to rooms, facilities and special guest requests.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety, hygiene and safety protocols and the hotel's internal procedures.
What are we looking for?
We particularly value leadership, organisation, attention to detail, problem solving and teamwork, as well as a clear focus on service excellence.
We will also take into account:
- Previous experience as a Head Housekeeper, Assistant Head Housekeeper or Floor Supervisor in hotels.
- Experience coordinating, supervising and managing cleaning and housekeeping teams.
- Knowledge of hotel cleaning, hygiene and quality procedures and standards.
- Ability to organise shifts, assign tasks and manage resources efficiently.
- Knowledge of inventory control, materials management and cost optimisation.
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping control tools.
- Communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and high-occupancy periods.
